| 30% PA6 / 70% LLDPE without compatibilizer | 30% PA6 / 70% LLDPE with 10% Fusabond® as a polymeric compatibilizer |
The general principle of compatibilization is to reduce interfacial energy between two polymers in order to increase adhesion. Generally, adding compatibilizers also results in finer dispersion, as well as more regular and stable morphologies.
Adding compatibilizers generally increases mechanical performance and surface properties.
